Volunteer With Us
Volunteering with Centre 33 makes a real difference to young people’s lives and supports us to reach more young people across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
In exchange for your time, skills, and experience, we will support you throughout your Volunteer Journey, matching you with the role that is right for you, providing training and development and on-the-job inductions to prepare you for your role, as well as the opportunity to meet other volunteers and be part of a volunteer community.
Young people need our support more than ever. Every hour given by a volunteer makes a significant contribution to a young person’s life.

Information Worker
The role of the Information Worker is a vital and well thought of role within Centre 33. Working alongside our front-line team, you will be the warm and welcoming face of our “open door” drop-in service in Cambridge, Ely, Huntingdon, Wisbech and Peterborough.

Counsellor
Centre 33 offers an amazing opportunity to volunteer within our established counselling team. We welcome both qualified and trainee counsellors who are able to work alongside our Mental Health team with young people aged 13-25 years.
We currently have opportunities in our Cambridge, Ely and Peterborough hubs.
Please note anyone applying will have to adhere to our Safeguarding policies and a new DBS check.

Young Carers Service
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our young carers service at Centre 33. Volunteers will support with our fortnightly online zoom groups for primary aged young carers across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, as well as occasional face to face community-based groups.
The groups aim to decrease the sense of isolation that young carers experience, give them a break from their caring role and build relationships with peers, project staff and volunteers.

Young Carer Capacity Builder
We are looking for enthusiastic and creative volunteers to join our young carers service at Centre 33. Volunteers will be joining our Capacity Building Team, who play a key role in awareness raising of young carers across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Volunteers will be tasked to support our capacity building work in ways such as, delivering assemblies in schools, giving talks about young carers, supporting staff to deliver professional training and attend information stalls whilst representing Centre 33.
Your role is crucial to ensuring consistent support for young carers across schools and organisations as well as enabling more young carers to be identified and referred for appropriate support.

Young Carers Participation
Centre 33 have a newly established Young Carers Advisory Board. The young carers who sit on the Board are known as Young Carers Representatives. The board are supported to share their experiences with decision makers and find solutions and goals to reduce the negative impact of caring. We are looking for up to 3 volunteers to help them achieve their vision and goals.
Volunteers will support group coordinators with the planning and delivery of online sessions with the Young Carers Advisory Board. Download a job description here.
