Centre 33 has over 70 volunteers working to provide support to young people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The roles are varied, some requiring qualifications and experience, others which are open to anyone with enthusiasm, willingness to learn and a commitment to helping young people achieve their potential. We can offer you time credits in return for volunteering, as well as training, support and other benefits.

Young Carers Worker
St Neots & Yaxley
We have vacancies for volunteers to support our St Neots Young Carers Group which takes place on alternate Wednesdays from 4-5:30pm and also for our Yaxley group
We don’t currently need volunteers in our Ely Young Carers Groups.
Cambourne, Sawston and March
We have a vacancy for a volunteer to support our Cambourne Young Carers group that meets alternate Tuesdays at Cambourne Soul 6pm – 8pm.
We’d also really like some help with our Sawston Group which meets Mondays 4.30-6.30.
Our March group in Fenland meets alternate Tuesdays from 5-6.30 and needs volunteers please.
We are also keen to recruit volunteers, particularly in Cambridge, who are available during the day to help with our schools groups.

Volunteer School Counsellors – East and South Cambridgeshire
Voluntary positions, 3.5-5 hours per week with reasonable travel expenses reimbursed and fortnightly one-to-one clinical supervision provided.
We are recruiting new volunteer counsellors for our well respected secondary school counselling service.
You will provide counselling support to young people aged 11-16 based in a secondary school in East Cambridgeshire or South Cambridgeshire. You will need to be available for a weekly slot, during the school day, term-time only. You will ideally have access to your own transport.
Counsellors will have weekly debrief and support from our staff team, as well as one-to-one fortnightly clinical supervision with one of our supervisor team. Counsellors will be part of our large and well-established mental health and counselling team, and will have access to induction, training opportunities and regular meetings and ongoing support.
You will have completed, or be working towards, a Counselling Level 4 Diploma or equivalent, meeting BACP criteria. Ideally you will have experience of working with young people.
